Thrust ball bearings consist of a shaft washer, a housing washer and a ball and cage assembly .This type of bearing is separable ,i.e. the shaft washer, housing washer(s), ball and cage assembly(s) can be mounted separately. Except flat seat washer series , also include the sphered housing washers series to accommodate initial misalignment .sphered housing washers and aligning seat washer composite use.

Thrust ball bearings are manufactured as single direction and double direction thrust ball bearings. They are designed to accommodate axial loads only and must not be subjected to any radial load.

(1) Single direction thrust ball bearings

Single direction thrust ball bearings consist of a shaft washer, a housing washer and a ball and cage assembly . As their name implies, single direction thrust ball bearings can accommodate axial loads and locate a shaft axially, in one direction only.Can not accommodate radial load .

Small bearings have two kind type . With flat race and self- aligning race . Bearing with self-aligning race can use with aligning seat washer to compensate for angular misalignment between bearing pillow block supporting surface and shaft .

(2) Double direction thrust ball bearings
Double direction thrust ball bearings consist of one shaft washer, two housing washers and two ball and cage assemblies. The housing washers and ball and cage assemblies of double direction bearings are identical to those used in single direction bearings. Double direction thrust ball bearings can accommodate axial loads and locate a shaft axially, in both directions.Can not accommodate radial load .

Operating temperature

The operating temperature range of thrust ball bearing is -30℃~+150℃( limits for the greases )
